Swimming

With mountain lakes up every canyon and the Bitterroot River flowing down the center of the valley, there is no shortage of swimming opportunities come summertime. There are a few large lakes that accommodate ski boats, such as Lake Como and Painted Rocks. Medium sized lakes that allow smaller fishing boats, and wilderness lakes which perfect to cool off in after a hike.
